Refrigerated Covered Rinks and Ice surfaces

December 14 to March 7, weather permitting

For this new outdoor skating season, the City of Dorval has decided to pursue the experience of the Arboretum Trail. It will therefore be possible to take advantage of this installation during the day and in the evening!

As for Pine Beach Park, Dorval skaters will also be able to enjoy a nocturnal atmosphere under the festive lighting.

Many other outdoor skating rinks and ice surfaces will please young and old throughout the winter, according to the following chalet’s opening hours:

Monday to Friday: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Please note that the rink is currently closed as a precaution measure, until March 21 at 4 p.m., in order to maintain the ice surface in proper condition for the colder days ahead.

Informations

The facility hosts a plethora of leisure and family activities year-round. Thanks to its refrigerated surface, a programming for ice sports is offered during the winter, while the rink converts into a multiuse ground for the other three seasons.

Skate rental

Several pairs of skates all all sizes are available for people to borrow on site, free of charge. Residents simply need to leave a piece of identification while they enjoy their skating activity.

Sled for wheelchair ice skating

As part of its mission to offer inclusive recreational activities, the City of Dorval also provides a high-performance sled for wheelchair ice skating, available during recreational skating hours. This equipment allows wheelchair users to be moved around the ice to experience the joy of skating. Participants must have a companion wearing skates to push them across the ice. The sled fits most wheelchair sizes and is easy to use.

Bathrooms will be available on site. A heated portable toilet will also be installed near the arena.

Please note that there is no supervision at these locations and the City of Dorval is not responsible for any accident or injury that may occur. Sledding conditions depend on those of the weather. Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Informations

An approximate distance of nearly 2 kilometres, this walking trail extends towards the Cultural Centre. It makes its way through the magnificent Peace Park Arboretum, then around the vast grounds of the Sarto-Desnoyers Community Centre.

Citizens can access the trail via two main entry points: via the Dorval Library parking lot or through the parking lot next to the skate park on Dawson Avenue, across from the Dorval Aquatic and Sports Complex.

Golf Dorval Winter Getaway

The Golf Dorval offers breathtaking scenery, no matter the season! This winter, you can make it your haven of peace by coming to observe several types of birds. The golf course is also an oasis of happiness for sports enthusiasts who can take advantage of the cross-country skiing trails and the snowshoeing and walking trails. The trails total approximately 5 kilometres so you can enjoy yourself for a long time!
