According to Culture pour tous, cultural mediation can be translated as follows:
Cultural mediation refers to the process of bringing together the cultural and social spheres, the construction of new links between politics, culture, and public space. It encompasses a wide range of practices, and ultimately aims to make everyone a cultural actor.
A cultural mediation project aims to create bridges between citizens, artists, and their works. Mediation offers several different approaches, from customized guided tours to artistic co-creation, including meetings and discussions with professionals in the field and discovery or initiation workshops.

Throughout the year, the City of Dorval offers cultural activities to school and community groups in different cultural venues.
The Dorval Museum of History and Heritage also offers an educational program designed for school groups from the second cycle of elementary school to the third cycle of high school. This program allows students to deepen their knowledge of the social world through fun and educational activities adapted to different age groups.
For all questions concerning the mediation program, please write to culture@ville.dorval.qc.ca.
