It's possible to get a free evaluation from the Aquatic Supervisor at the Dorval Aquatic and Sports Complex (DASC) to determine which level of swimming lesson to register for.

This is especially beneficial for people who are not currently taking swimming lessons with the City of Dorval!

Requirements: Must be able to swim 25 metres and tread water for 3 minutes without assistance or a PFD.

This course is a half-hour of fun-filled learning experiences for parents with children ages 5 to 17 months. Parents and children learn how to be comfortable in the water through play, with the guidance of an instructor. The child must be 5 months old before the start of the session. Proof of age is required upon registration.

This course is a half-hour of fun-filled learning experiences for parents with children ages 18 to 36 months. Parents and children learn how to be comfortable in the water through play, with the guidance of an instructor. The child must be 12 months old before the start of the session. Blow bubbles while swimming with a bubble on
Swim for 2 metres unassisted, face in the water

This one-on-one course is for people age 15 and under who wish to improve their swimming skills. Every course is personalized according to the skills, strengths, and weaknesses of each swimmer, and lesson plans are adapted to foster progress and results.

In order to respect the physical distancing guidelines, swimmers must be accompanied by an adult swimmer for the first class. Depending on the swimming level of the child, the instructor will inform you whether the presence of an adult in the water is required for the next lessons.
