Would you like to discover the art of mosaics and add a little colour to your home? Would you like to express your creativity while making a useful everyday object?
During this three-hour workshop, Ricardo, a professional and passionate mosaicist, will guide us through all the necessary steps to create a mosaic. After a presentation of this art, we will take the time to create a personalized design and choose the colours, in order to create a unique mosaic mirror! We will also discuss the appropriate tools and the cutting of the pieces with pliers. Several techniques for placing and installing the tesserae will be discussed before moving on to gluing and finalizing the project.
The mirror sizes available are: 9’’ X 9’’ square with a 6’’ X 6’’ mirror, or an 8’’ X 10’’ rectangle with a 5’’ X 7’’ mirror. No skills required, except to let your creativity run wild.

This year’s Dorval in One Click! photo contest is all about motions throughout the City of Dorval. The photography should represent movement or change in our environment. Photos can include objects, elements in our ecosystem, people and/or animals performing an action or activity. Activate your cameras and show off your creativity!
Here are some examples to inspire you: a kite flying in the air, waves crashing, a jogger, a dog playing fetch!
